Street of romanticism and shopping, Chungjang-ro. The name Chungjang was the imitation of general, Kim Duk Ryung in Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592. Total length is 1,660m and total width is 8m. This road is the representative road of Gwangju, in short, this road has given its nick name 'Myung-dong in Gwangju'. On the street, there are huge size of department store, restaurants, close store, shoese store, and another service buildings. Gwangju post office - It was built in 1963, and called as right tea room. This building took a role of meeting place for long time to the Gwangju residents.
